Neo-Pagan Modern Thoughts On Society

Tag Archives: Bill O’Reilly

It's been awhile since I have blogged, as I have been working my way through the tough parts of life. But I feel like the current state of the US economy is pulling me back into action. The common factor on most Americans minds is “what is the trouble with our economy?”

You really don't have to look that far to find some answers:

  1. A current presidential, millionaire candidate that has been outsourcing work to other countries in order that his golden pockets get heavier?
  2. A clothing designer who has US Olympic team uniforms made overseas? Yah, that makes sense!
  3. A city mayor, ex basketball player, who thinks the solution to a city's financial woes is building ANOTHER arena for basketball?
  4. A state governor who thinks the solution to rapidly declining funds is to increase taxes on local business and cut much needed services to the needy?
  5. A population of older parents who think ALL successful kids must graduate college with an unending debt of school loans before they even make money or know how to do anything productive at all?
  6. Education officials that need $200k jobs to do…. What exactly? While the teachers and students struggle.
  7. Checkout lines that are robotically controlled by the patrons themselves, while previous cashiers lose their jobs?
  8. A population of prisoners that continues to increase and grow more dangerous but not be valued by anyone at all?
  9. Allowing religious institutions to play politics, own property, devalue opposing populations and yet pay 0 taxes?
  10. A small percentage of Americans controlling most of the money?
  11. Banks being saved by the government for making crooked decisions?
  12. Athletes who make more money than entrepreneurs?

And the problem with the economy is what again???

Image of a traffic signal with smiley facesBill O’Reilly is as extreme as Rush Something or other…..I forget his face. I know that a lot of older Americans watch Bill O’Reilly avidly. And on occasion I have forced myself to watch his show if he had a particularly interesting guest speaker.

For those of you who are not familiar with this excuse for an Irish blooded American, I can tell you that his main claim to fame is that you will never get “Spin” from him. He claims to be a Spin Free Zone! Ha! If anything, Bill O’Reilly is a propaganda machine for Right-Wing / Fascist ideals of racism and oppression. Nearly everything that spews from that volcano of a mouth is in fact the nastiest, fact less form of propaganda spin that this is in the modern world, after the end of the cold war of course!

So, BR gets on to The View as a guest. Hmmmm, do you think there is trouble looming already? The subject of the building of a mosque near the location of the former World Trade Center rears its ugly, convoluted head. BR promptly speaks over everyone else to let everyone know that it is Muslims who destroyed the World Trade Center. Really Bill? A whole religious group of people spread across the entire surface of the globe, with multi-ethnic backgrounds, is who flew two planes into the sides of the World Trade Center? Spin at its best!

Terrorists do not Muslims make, as Muslims do not terrorists make. Anyone can be a terrorist. Anyone from any religious background. There is no requirement that a terrorist believe in Allah. In fact, most people would surmise that terrorists were anything but religious beings at all, as the very act of taking other human’s lives is contrary to their holy of holy books, the Koran. Bill you are seriously flawed in your thinking that Muslims flew planes into the World Trade Center. Did you interview the semi-pilots prior to their terrorist act? I think not. Terrorists flew planes into the World Trade Center. And Muslim is not the same as Terrorist.

On the contrary side, The View’s own Whoopie and Joy became so irate at Bill’s unfathomable stupidity that they walked off their own show. Hmmmm, not good. Sorry, but as Americans we should be able to sit on stage, get paid tons of money and talk with people we absolutely detest about subjects that are uncomfortable. The days of American rules of party talk (ie. no sex, politics or religion) are seriously done. We need to be able to discuss opposing views with each other. Otherwise we are losing our ability to rationalize and reason. Europeans relish hotly debated subjects over dinner. It is thought-provoking discussions that can change the opinions of others after all, especially on a show that is titled “The View”. One must wonder, what is The View that is being prostituted?

Let’s just learn to listen to each other, whether we want to believe the other’s opinions or not. Give each other an open ear. Then state your opinion. Learn from each other. Listen and think. We are human after all and we are allowed the ability to change our mind and we are given the grande gift of being able to sway other’s opinions as well. But to do either of these things, we must participate, not run away. One does not get respect from running from a heated discussion. It only makes us look weak and unsure of our own beliefs.

Joy and Whoopie, all you had to do was sit and listen to Bill. He always hangs himself in the end. That is the one great equalizer with looney bin extremist spin makers like Bill. They always fail in the end. The great human population can see that a lie is a lie and hate is hate.
