Neo-Pagan Modern Thoughts On Society

Adobe has long been considered an innovative company with its finger on the pulse of the technological nation. Adobe has made such things as the pdf a standard of electronic publication, Photoshop a standard of photo manipulation and editing, and InDesign as the standard way to create fantastic page layout. But they have a massive economic weapon in their hands and they are potentially replicating the same mistake they have always made.

Adobe has made such things as the pdf  a standard of electronic publication, Photoshop a standard of photo manipulation and editing, and InDesign as the standard way to create fantastic page layout. But they have a massive economic weapon in their hands and they are potentially replicating the same mistake they have always made.

What is the Adobe mistake syndrome? Its creating quality product and then pricing their product so high that only the large corporation can afford it. Big mistake. Huge mistake.

They have now developed a wonderful looking electronic add-on layer of products called the Adobe Publishing Platform. Currently free to download and test. In Adobe’s eyes, this will be the standard by which all electronic magazines and newspapers will complete their eye popping electronic page layout for the coming days of paperless reading.

You can go to Adobe’s specialized link: http://www.adobe.com/digitalpublishing/ to see the quality that is already being churned out by the big publishers. Or even, download Martha Stewart’s Living magazine for the iPad and be amazed by the beauty of the serious electronic magazine with all of its beauty and interactivity.

Adobe Publishing Platform has the potential to revolutionize the world. But its development programs is priced into the highest heavens. Forcing publishers to fork out big bucks just to get on board. Preventing, small start-up publishers to start new publishing enterprises, and forcing established publishers to charge and arm and a leg for each and every monthly edition they put out. Again, big mistake! Huge mistake!

Already early critics inside the magazine subscriber community are complaining about the astronomical pricing being used against subscribers. Big mistake! Huge mistake!

Drop the prices to become a magazine developer Adobe. This will encourage subscription based entities to drop their prices for monthly, daily or weekly issues and encourage this new market to thrive and grow. Don’t let greed get the better of you. Already, your pdf format is threatened as the standard of electronic publishing, you now run the risk of becoming a great electronic dinosaur!
