Neo-Pagan Modern Thoughts On Society

Now a subscriber to Netflix, I have started watching Showtime’s series “Dexter”. What a great show with well drawn characters and realistic interactions. The writer of this show should be commended for having such a thoughtful finger on the pulse of humanity.

Now a subscriber to Netflix, I have started watching Showtime’s series “Dexter“. What a great show with well drawn characters and realistic interactions. The writer of this show should be commended for having such a thoughtful finger on the pulse of humanity.

For those who have not been lucky enough to watch even a single episode of this phenomenal show, I recommend it completely. Built on the same shadowy, dark premise as HBO’s series “Six Feet Under“, the writer shows us a glimpse into the dark soul of a ‘normal’ human. Dexter, the lead character, is a believable serial killer who believes in “taking out the trash” by killing individuals who have done substantial bad things to others. Kind of like the Robin Hood of murder!

The show forces one to begin to think about all of the individuals you would want to rub out, if you were given the complete power and ability to remove them. My personal list grows with each episode! Not that it was “small” before viewing this excellent series. But it just seems to grow.

For those self-proclaimed do-gooders who would profess, “I would never harm another living being no matter what that person had done previously”, this show slaps them in the face and screams in an all too Cher voice, “SNAP OUT OF IT!”

In other words, wake up from your delusional life and come to terms with the fact that we all have a little Dexter in us. Some of us just control it better than others!
