Neo-Pagan Modern Thoughts On Society

Each day that we turn on the news we are shown images of parents frantically searching for their children. The container of milk on our breakfast table has been replaced with images of children’s faces on the news.

It almost seems like a daily occurance. And the truly scary thing is that in the end, it is usually discovered that either both or one of the parents disposed of their own children and then created a great charade of urgent seeking.

Why are people going through the great intensive and painful process of having children, raising them to a certain age and then just dumping their bodies like so much garbage? Have children become that disposable now? Has the economy become so tough that adults are now taking out their deep seated frustrations on their own offspring?

Truly adults should think twice, three times, four times or five times about having children. Especially if their life styles do not condone raising those same children to the age of adulthood! We need to start taking responsibility for spewing forth offspring willy nilly with no apparent ramification to our own life.

YES, having children will be a life consuming process that will change your life forever. Its not all fun and games with candy coating topping. Its financially hard. Emotionally draining. And you must give up the freedom you once had as a self contained adult to ensure that your child is healthy, happy, mentally stable and has the support structure that they need to become a valuable asset to our society. No easy task right?

There is a famous line from one of my all time favorite tunes, performed by various bands that states, “Only stupid people are breeding”. Sad, but it seems true and timely for today.
