Neo-Pagan Modern Thoughts On Society

Life can be tough sometimes. We are thrown tests and trials and have to make our way through them with our heads held high, our integrity intact, our vision clear and without sacrificing too much of ourselves that we lose sight of who we actually are as a human.

Life can be tough sometimes. We are thrown tests and trials and have to make our way through them with our heads held high, our integrity intact, our vision clear and without sacrificing too much of ourselves that we lose sight of who we actually are as a human.

Image of the poster for the movie The PianoAnd every once in a great while a movie will capture the idea of life’s tests perfectly and precisely. The 1993 award winning movie “The Piano” is one of those movies. It exemplifies the hardship that is life with the sacrifices that make us whole beings.

If you have never seen this movie, I highly recommend it. It will bring tears to your eyes, a deep feeling of emotion and reality into your heart and the feeling that life is way too short and way to valuable to waste. Watch the movie for it’s vivid passion and emotion. To love something so intensely is a rare thing. Most people go through their lives without true passion about anything. Oh, they may have their own individual points and ideals, but even those have a shadowy form of passion that lacks the true luster that makes up a vibrant life.

If you saw it once, watch it again, as I did this morning. You may catch a lesson for life and begin to appreciate more of what you have now rather than what you think you want.
