Neo-Pagan Modern Thoughts On Society

Then out of the blue, SHAZAM!!!! Change occurs, our world is rocked and we must move on again. Change comes to everything, whether we want it or not. And it very often comes when we actually are content in our ways and living life the way we want to live it. When we are most comfortable and content is most likely when we get Shazamed with change!

Image of a cowboy reclining on his truck.Life is a funny kind of thing. We plod along, doing the best that we can do. While we plod along, we learn things about ourselves and others. As we gain in age, we learn to perfect some of our actions and focus on our very specific likes and dislikes in life. We find ourself and we work on cleaning up the baggage that ourself has been dragging behind us this whole time. And then we kind of go through periods where we are still and feel that we have learned and perfected and changed as much as we possibly can, so we kind of rest and enjoy what we have made of ourselves.

Change makes us all uneasy. Because it means that our personal Starship Enterprise must venture into unknown galaxies, just like in the tv show! We don’t know what is ahead of us in the dark recesses of the future. We only know that it is going to be different.

But we are human, and we are mortal and as such we must embrace change. We can cry about it, cringe when it happens, huddle in fear under its shadow, and try to avoid it all that we want. But it comes. It comes without warning and it comes swiftly, requiring us to make super fast decisions and choose roads in life that we never saw before that day.

Embrace the change in your life. Look at change as new opportunity. Whether it is a nasty divorce, a dating breakup, a new job, a new home, a new city, losing a friend, losing a family member or any of the other millions of changes out there. Learn to feel the pain of loss, or disappointment and then move on with yourself. Change always comes for the better. You may not see it at the start of the change, but it never fails, that one day you will look back on yourself and see how that life altering change in your past altered the path to a better future for you.
