Neo-Pagan Modern Thoughts On Society

After contemplating this preacher gone wrong, one has to wonder, “Did Terry Jones even read the Christian Bible once through?” Or “Can preacher Terry Jones read at all?” On the outside I think this appears to be another really valid argument for literacy. The more literate a person is, the least likely they would be to really not “get” their own proclaimed mission.

Self proclaimed preacher gone astray, Terry Jones, preaches anti-Islam hatred and plans to have an official burning of the Quran on September 11th. So what’s wrong with this picture?

Its a tragedy that a faith like Christianity has to put up with so many goofy hate mongers, idolters, false prophets, and overall evil doers. Its no wonder that the movement away from the Christian faith continues to gain popularity. Who would want to believe in a god that is based on hate, burning fires of damnation and utter destruction of everything beautiful and civil? I was never myself really tempted to go the Christian way. And preachers like Terry Jones just help me understand what a correct decision I have made.

Preachers of hate, here are some important things to note from your own Bible:

  1. Jesus taught love, forgiveness, and compassion for his fellow human.
  2. The new testament was written in part to wash away the old rules of “an eye for an eye“. Forgive and forget became the Christian standard from that point onwards.
  3. Jesus died for your sins according to your own book. And yes, hatred is a not so nice sin of the finest type.
  4. Do onto others as you would have done onto yourself. Ummm, enough said about this one.
  5. Your congregation is actually supposed to be worshipping your god, not preachers who erect themselves as demi-gods.
  6. If your congregation actually believed in your god and had faith in his message they would see how really stupid your message of hate is and would understand that it goes against the very grain of your own book.
  7. Hate begets hate and the cycle will forever continue until enough people start breaking the silly cycle of religious war and persecution.  Until then, our planet will be plauged by ignoramous wars.
